Knowledge Artifact (KNART) Project Management
For this project, we provide project management and terminology consultation services to support the creation of Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Knowledge Artifacts (KNARTs) and the fulfillment of the associated Terminology Service Requests (TSRs). CDS increases the quality of care, enhances health outcomes, helps to avoid errors and adverse events, improves efficiency, reduces costs, and boost provider and patient satisfaction. Getting the right information to the providers in a timely manner allows a comprehensive clinical picture to be formed, thus providing the needed facts to guide a care plan. KNARTs directly contribute to establishing a common framework for functional and semantic interoperability of intelligent, reusable health information.
This task order is comprised of two overall task areas: Project Management and Terminology Consultation, which encompass three specific tasks: attending biweekly status meetings with the CDS Program office; attending biweekly status meetings with the CDS Contractor; and analyzing, creating, facilitating, and validating terminology-related CDS artifacts and activities. To fulfill these tasks, we coordinate with VHA stakeholders in developing and maintaining KNARTs and provide non-personal terminology consultation services so that the KBS program can enhance healthcare through CDS.
